Sono nato a Pisa nel 1983 e fin da giovane ho sentito il bisogno di esprimermi attraverso l’arte, trovando nella musica e nella fotografia due linguaggi capaci di raccontare l’essenza dell’essere umano. Oggi lavoro come fotografo musicale e fotogiornalista, con un approccio profondamente narrativo: non cerco semplicemente immagini, ma storie. Ogni persona, ogni luogo, ogni momento porta con sé qualcosa che merita di essere ascoltato, osservato e restituito.
Il reportage è il mio modo di stare nel mondo: mi permette di attraversare le storie, viverle da vicino, entrare in relazione con ciò che accade. Fotografo per comprendere, prima ancora che per mostrare, e ogni immagine nasce da un incontro, diventando un frammento di realtà colto nel suo momento più umano, fragile e autentico.
Nel mio lavoro ricerco quello che definisco “momento sospeso”, un attimo in cui tutto si condensa e si rivela, in cui accade qualcosa di invisibile ma profondamente vero e l’immagine smette di essere solo rappresentazione per diventare esperienza.
La musica, soprattutto dal vivo, è uno dei territori in cui questa ricerca si esprime con maggiore intensità: sul palco cerco di catturare ciò che non si può toccare — l’energia, la tensione, la connessione tra artista e pubblico — perché fotografare un concerto non è documentare, ma tradurre il suono in immagine, trasformare l’emozione in forma visiva. Realizzo reportage, fotografia musicale live e ritratti promozionali, mantenendo sempre uno sguardo autoriale e rispettoso dell’identità di ogni progetto, artista o contesto.
Attraverso l’obiettivo cerco di fermare ciò che, per sua natura, è destinato a scomparire, affinché ogni fotografia diventi una traccia, un frammento senza tempo, capace di restituire non solo ciò che è stato visto, ma ciò che è stato vissuto.
I was born in Pisa in 1983 and from a young age I felt the need to express myself through art, finding in music and photography two languages capable of revealing the essence of the human being. Today I work as a music photographer and photojournalist, with a deeply narrative approach: I don’t simply look for images, but for stories.
Every person, every place, every moment carries something worth listening to, observing, and giving back. Reportage is my way of being in the world; it allows me to move through stories, to experience them closely, and to connect with what unfolds. I photograph to understand, before I even attempt to show, and each image is born from an encounter, becoming a fragment of reality captured in its most human, fragile, and authentic moment.
In my work, I search for what I call the “suspended moment”, an instant in which everything condenses and reveals itself, where something invisible yet deeply true takes place and the image stops being mere representation to become experience.
Music, especially in its live dimension, is one of the fields where this research finds its strongest expression: on stage I try to capture what cannot be touched — energy, tension, the connection between artist and audience — because photographing a concert is not about documenting, but about translating sound into image and turning emotion into visual form. I create reportage, live music photography, and promotional portraits, always maintaining an authorial approach that respects the identity of each project, artist, or context.
Through the lens, I try to hold onto what, by its nature, is destined to disappear, so that each photograph becomes a trace, a timeless fragment capable of conveying not only what was seen, but what was experienced.
