Ippoasi Onlus è molto più di un semplice santuario per animali, è un rifugio di speranza e rinascita, immerso nel Parco di San Rossore, vicino a Pisa. Qui, animali che hanno vissuto la paura, il dolore e la sofferenza – molti destinati al consumo umano e vittime di maltrattamenti – trovano finalmente una seconda possibilità.
In questo luogo, ogni creatura è accolta con amore e rispetto, e può vivere libera, seguendo i propri tempi e ritmi, lontano da ogni violenza. Ippoasi si impegna a offrire loro non solo sicurezza, ma una vita il più possibile naturale, serena e felice.
Ho iniziato a camminare accanto a questa realtà alla fine del 2022, trascorrendo intere giornate con i volontari e condividendo storie, sorrisi e fatica. Ho capito subito che Ippoasi non è solo un luogo: è una scelta profonda, fatta con il cuore, un atto d’amore che trasforma vite – umane e animali.
Ippoasi Onlus is much more than just a sanctuary for animals — it is a refuge of hope and rebirth, nestled in the San Rossore Park near Pisa, Italy. Here, animals who have endured fear, pain, and suffering—many destined for human consumption and victims of abuse—find a second chance at life.
In this place, every creature is welcomed with love and respect, free to live on their own terms, far from any violence. Ippoasi is committed to offering them not only safety but a life as natural, peaceful, and joyful as possible.
I began working alongside this community at the end of 2022, spending full days with the volunteers, sharing stories, smiles, and hard work. I quickly realized that Ippoasi is not just a place—it is a profound choice made with the heart, an act of love that transforms lives—both human and animal.
